Abe is a 2 1/2 year old boy available for adoption from China.  “Abe” wasn’t diagnosed with PKU until around 10 months when the orphanage noticed his hair turning yellow. The orphanage immediately changed him over to a low protein diet. Although he wasn’t happy about it at first, he isn’t a picky eater now. “Abe” is an adorable little boy who would thrive given the chance to be part of a family and receive proper care for his PKU.

Feel free to share about him to anyone that might be interested.

Baby Cael

Éú»îÕÕ2
Cael just turned 1!!  He has PKU and he is following a special diet for his need.

Cael is a fairly extroverted little man, with bright eyes.  He is active and lovely; When the aunt sees his round face, she always kisses him.
At the age of 4 months, he can roll over. At the age of 6 months, he can sit. At the age of 7 months, he can crawl and can stand with hands holding onto handrails.

Cael likes colorful toys which can make sound; when there is the toy in his hand, he always plays with it; when he plays happily, he would give it to the aunt to play; sometimes he would crawl to the handrail, and stand up with hands holding onto it; he is fond of listening to music; when there is music, he would sit there quietly, immersed in the sea of music, so adored. When the aunt goes to him, he would smile at her, and would stretch his hands out to the aunt for cuddle;

Cael likes to be cuddled and to watch other children playing games, after watching that, he is very excited, and dances in joys, as well as wants to play with them.

Little Katie

Katie:

Hello! I’m Katie and I am an extroverted and active girl. My doctors say that I have PKU so I have to have a special diet of milk powder and rice flour. Other than my PKU, I am a healthy and happy girl. I am practicing walking and can take 2-3 steps. I like meeting new people and always have a ready smile. I like to wave at people outside the window in the orphanage. I also like to make shadow figures too. I get along well with others and am fond of playing games.

If you want more info, please email Kathy@wiaa.org .  I tried  to attach a photo but am not sure if it attached. There is also a short blog about him  and video here http://wasatchadoptions.blogspot.com/ You have to fill out a request for password. He is listed under China and there is an older picture of him here http://ourlittlestmatryoshka.wordpress.com/

If I could make this work, I would adopt him in a heart beat. I think I am a very good person to adopt a PKU baby, I dont think it would be challenging and I know I could provide him a safe loving home , where he can get the quality of life, and treatments that he would need to live his life to the fullest. I have a lot of love to give and would love to give this little man a home and family. However I know in my heart, Cole is just not ready. For a biological baby or to adopt. It is a a huge life long commitment and responsibility.  Since I cannot adopt this beautiful Child, I am posting this in hopes of helping Connect this child with his future family.
